Dún-na-nGall.com is currently at various
stages of production for a series of
innovative
documentary programmes for digital broadcast. 'Oh Kay Computer' explores the relationship between gender, race and computer
technology from an Irish context. The programme relates the life and times of Kathleen McNulty Mauchly Antonelli from the Cresslough Gaeltacht of County Donegal, Ireland who is a pioneer of computer programming. Kay worked on the ENIAC project after World War 2 but her role, like that of her female colleagues, was undocumented until now. Irish/English feature documentary for broadcast/webcast about the
Fintown area of Donegal which
is currently in year three
of production. The Documentary follows the restoration of the narrow gauge
railway
along Lough Finn, a project on which the local population is relying
to
bring employment through tourism while simultaneously examining
the history,
mythology, music and living culture of this isolated
Donegal community which
has been depopulated 90% in the last century.©
